Direito, território e sentimento: considerações indígenas sobre a efetivação de direitos territoriais

Abstract

Intends to acknowledge the land rights from the perspective of the Caiapós’ indigenous people and demonstrate how they extend their law system when they incorporate other dimensions. When discoursing about the identification and delimitation of Terra Indigena Las Casas (PA, Brazil), I try to show how the reconstruction of this land promoted reinterpretation about the main aspects of their social organisation, including the emotional aspects that are frequently denied discussion. Therefore, more than containing it into a normative and legal perspective, it becomes evident the importance of their culture in this process.
