| dc.description.resumo | This paper presents the development of a design method tailored to support designers within production machinery companies. The proposed approach was developed based on the perceived views from designers within these companies with regard to formal design methods proposed in the literature. The method is based upon a chart-based collection of appropriate design guidelines.
