Vannevar Bush e as matrizes discursivas de As we may think: por uma possível história da Ciência da Informação

Abstract

Aborda as matrizes discursivas do cientista estadunidense Vannevar Bush cristalizadas no artigo As We May Think, como parte da rede enunciativa do novo campo do saber, a Ciência da Informação. Apóia-se no referencial teórico-metodológico proposto pelo filósofo Michel Foucault, com vistas a aplicar o método de investigação arqueológica, apropriado para os estudos epistemológicos das ciências. Constata-se que, o artigo representa uma conjuntura social fundada na descontinuidade dos clássicos processos de recuperação da informação que se instaurou após a Segunda Guerra Mundial, com o volume de informações geradas, cuja problemática fomentou os discursos instauradores da nova ciência

It addresses discursive the matrices of the United States scientist Vannevar Bush crystallized in the article As We May Think, as part of the enunciative net of the new field of knowledge, information science. It rests on the theoretical and methodological framework proposed by the philosopher Michel Foucault, with sights to apply the method of archaeological research, suitable for epistemological studies of science. It appears that the article represents a social setting based on the discontinuity of the classic processes of recovery of the information which arose after the Second World War, with the volume of information generated, whose problematic it fomented the speeches founders of new science
