Estudo clínico piloto da ação de um protocolo associado de dessensibilização dentária sobre o impacto no poder clareador de um gel de consultório

Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of the association of topical application of a desensitizer (Desensibilize Nano P, FGM Ind., Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brasil) and coideine phosphate (30mg)/Acetaminophen (500mg) (PACO) on the color change of in-office bleaching. This is a pilot study of a randomized, trip-blind clinical trial of the tallow type of mouthpiece in which 6 volunteers were randomized into two groups: G1 (placebo) (n=3) e G2 (opioid analgesic) (n=3) associated with the desensitizer. The participants were submitte to two bleaching sessions with hydrogen peroxide 35% with two apliccations of 20 minutes each. The medication was administered one hour before the procedure and every 6 hours for 48 hours after the procedure. The color of the teeth was evaluated using the Vita Classical shade scale before the beginning of bleaching (Ti) and 15 days after the last session (Tf). In the end, all groups presented an excellent whitening of the teeth and no differences were found in the result of whitening color with the use of the association of PACO with the desensitizing agent.
