Dissertação Fatores que influenciam na eficiência acadêmica: modelo relacional e estudo de caso no IFPB, Campus Itaporanga(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-12-27) Galvão, Franklin Medeiros; Almeida, Mariana Rodrigues de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7356242205950550; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3492-5090; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8490332596326642; Marques, Adriana Cavalcante; Hekis, Hélio Roberto; Torres, Lívia Mariana Lopes de Souza; Assunção, Marcus Vinicius Dantas deSchool dropout is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that represents one of the most significant challenges faced by education systems and is a topic that has been much discussed by researchers worldwide. Efficiency, in turn, is an important measure of an educational system's ability to achieve its objectives effectively, optimizing resources and maximizing the impact of investment in education. However, the relationship between school dropout and efficiency is not just causal, since dropout directly compromises the efficiency of the education system. The aim of the research is to propose a relational model of the factors that make it possible to examine the interconnection between dropout and academic efficiency, based on a case study of a unit of the Federal Institute of Paraíba, located in the city of Itaporanga/PB. The research will be carried out at the integrated high school of the Itaporanga Campus and will initially be conducted by means of a survey to collect the data needed to build the relational model. It will also select variables to calculate the academic efficiency of the integrated technical course in buildings using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) technique, to compare the result with other IFPB units. Initially, the State of the Art on the subject was surveyed, focusing on social and institutional aspects, racism, psychosocial factors and LGBTQIA+ inequality. These variables resulted from the synthesis of 97 articles found in the Scopus database, using the keywords Truancy and Absenteeism. The study will be conducted in five sequential stages: 1) systematic literature review (SBR); 2) description of the variables; 3) development of the relational model; 4) case study and survey; and 5) calculation of efficiency using the DEA technique. The expected results of the research are to validate the framework of the relational model and compare the academic efficiencies of the integrated technical course in buildings. This subject has many opportunities for future research.
